What you buy
Purchased compute credit is a prepayment for eligible training services supplied by Maincode to the billing account selected at purchase. It is not an investment, bank deposit or general payment service. It earns no interest and cannot be sold, transferred to another billing account or used to pay a third-party merchant.
One currency unit of available credit pays one currency unit of eligible usage charges in that account’s currency, excluding tax. Credits do not guarantee a fixed number of GPU-hours: the selected fleet and current rate determine the cost of each new allocation. Company members may share a company balance within their permissions.
Price, confirmation and expiry
The purchase amount, currency, tax and total card payment are shown before you confirm payment. Only the amount excluding tax becomes compute credit. For example, where 10% Australian GST applies, A$100 of compute credit costs A$110 in total, including A$10 GST.
Returning from the payment page does not confirm funding. Credit becomes available only after the payment has been verified. A failed, cancelled or disputed payment does not fund new work. Contact support if payment appears complete but the balance has not updated.
Purchased credits have no expiry date. We do not impose inactivity, balance-maintenance or post-purchase administration fees. Promotional credits are separately labelled and may have a disclosed expiry, eligible-person restriction or other condition. Promotional balances are not purchased money and do not give a right to a cash refund.
Using the balance
Submission reserves a job’s maximum quoted charge. Reserved credit cannot fund another job at the same time. Actual usage settles against the reservation and unused amounts become available again after final accounting. Payment reversals can reduce available funding and suspend new work; they do not erase previously allocated usage.
A purchased-credit payment does not start a subscription, create an automatic top-up or authorize unlimited card charging. Any such arrangement would need separate disclosed terms and consent. Approved company invoice accounts follow their own billing agreement.
Refunds and account closure
Your statutory rights are preserved, including any right to a refund for a service failure. A credit adjustment for a platform fault does not replace a statutory monetary remedy.
For a change of mind, contact hello@maincode.com before using the credit. We review requests for the unused purchased balance and explain the decision; there is no blanket promise of a refund for services already consumed. We do not describe purchased credits as non-refundable where the law provides a remedy.
If Maincode permanently stops providing the purchased service, we will arrange a refund of the unused purchased balance or another remedy you agree to, subject to applicable law. When you close an account or we terminate access, we will review unused purchased funds and explain the available refund or lawful retention basis; closure does not automatically forfeit the balance.
Confirmed refunds are normally returned through the original payment method. We reconcile any related credit reduction with the retained usage record so the same payment cannot both be refunded and spent. Promotional credits are treated separately. A pending dispute or an investigation may require verification before a refund is processed.
