Add Matilda Train
Use a client that supports remote MCP over HTTP and OAuth browser sign-in. Add a server named Matilda Train with the URL below. The same service is available from macOS, Windows and Linux.
https://train.matilda.com/mcp/researchAdd a remote HTTP server
Paste the server URL into your client’s MCP connection settings.
Sign in with Matilda
Choose the Matilda account approved for your research access. If your organisation has not been set up, contact the team through the Contact page.
Review the connection
The consent page names the client, account and requested permissions. Approve the connection to return to your client.
Check your resources
Ask your client to call research_profile. It returns your actual compute limits, runtime and granted permissions.

}The client handles authorization and refresh. This configuration contains the server address; credentials are managed during sign-in.
Permissions you can understand
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| research:read | Your profile, run state, logs, metrics, artifacts, funding quotes and your own allocation costs. |
| jobs:write | Submit, cancel and resume your runs. |
| files:read | Read and download your workspace files. |
| files:write | Create directories and files, replace a reviewed file, delete a reviewed file and upload datasets. |
| billing:read | Read company balances, credit grants and member allocation costs when you are an owner or billing administrator. |
| billing:write | Request cancellation of team-funded allocations when you are an owner or billing administrator. |
A client can begin with read access. When a task needs another permission, compatible OAuth clients can ask you to reconnect and approve it. If your client does not handle this automatically, reconnect with the permissions shown in the error.
Review and disconnect clients
Sign in at train.matilda.com and open Connections to see your connected clients. Choose Disconnect beside a client, review its name and last activity, then confirm to revoke access and refresh permission. Choose Keep connected or Escape to cancel. Jobs already submitted continue running; reconnect a client to monitor or cancel them.
